If smokers had an area they could smoke in, where it wouldn't affect non smokers, IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, would you still be able to find a problem? More than likely! But I think a blanket ban without giving clubs/pubs etc the choice to do this is wrong.
You don't like it? Fine, we'll smoke somewhere away from you. But with the ban we won't even be able to do that.

Last night as a few (although not many) of you will know, was the first sabotage night.
Pete's been a lil worried about this for possible conflictions with sub and or scandles. Thankfully it seems to be a completly different crowd (what little there was of it)
I think we can safely say that It's not going to affect sub to any great extent, we had about 30 people down. That said I was actually quite embarrassed to be a part of this as:
a) It had been flyered for aproximately 1 week.
b) There were 6 fucking dj's
c) There were about 4 people working the door (not the doormen)
By 11 O'clock, with about 15-20 people in (including the ridiculous amount of people 'working' the night)I was begginning to get embarrassed to be associated with it. To add to that, the 1st 2 DJs were using a laptop that 1) they either didn't know how to use properly/had crap software for
2) was using dire quality mp3's.
The sound from it was awful, coupled with the fact, where the dj booth sits in a bass pocket they kept turning the treble up to eardrum perforating proportions.
Aparently the next one will be better. Lets hope so.
Why am I doing it again? Because it's a paycheque.
Why am I so sour toaday? Because I got home at gone 3 this morning, and had to get up again at 630 this morning and I'm not feeling very charitable. This whole dayjob lark is killing me!!!
